I watched this movie few years ago; and I was thrilled with pain and fear it carried in its lap. It is one of great movies with great characters and rememberable dialogues.

.

Theme of the story is dark, but still there are so many illuminating lessons. There is glorification of resistance and compassion.

.

.Finally what becomes the most important quality of Ofelia is her sacrifice for the sake of others. She risked everything she had; to win the deadly fight against dark forces.

.

.
This book is based on this story which is thrilling, different, fast paced and innovative.
.
Story is real fodder for imagination but amount of darkness and pain it depicts, makes me doubt; if it is suitable for kids.
Their is pain and cruelty at every page with few triumphs in between.
.

.

.
Language is Innovative and you can feel scene playing in front of your eyes.
Each chapter starts with a new narrative telling important part of a story which runs like labyrinth but at end everything becomes coherent.
.

.
I liked characters of mercedes and Dr Ferriera.
Vidal the main villain is impressive and strong character. You can feel fear he produces in the mind of his victims.

.

.
Writing is excellent and story makes it hard for reader to stop in between.
.
Even if you have watched the movie, it is novel and different experience to read the book and play scenes in your mind.
.

Go grab copy to enjoy eloquent, fresh and engaging prose.
